1. Seeing the movie helped me understand the play. When reading the play I was very confused and things made much more sense after watching the movie. When reading the acts I couldn't tell how the characters were feeling or what emotions they were expressing. I liked the movie because I could see the characters faces and reactions to things, and from that I knew how they were feeling.
2. I was most surprised and intrigued by the character who played Lady Macbeth. I think I pictured her appearance to much different than it really was. I thought she was going to be prettier and that her hair was going to be different. I thought she did a great job portraying Lady Macbeth's strong, powerful, and controlling but at the same time weak and innocent side.
3. The scene most memorable for me would have to be when Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo sitting on his seat at the banquet. Macbeth is being hunted by Banquo. Since he is the only who can see him he begins acting strange and talking nonsense. He is making his guests feel awkward and Lady Macbeth gets a little frustrated. Macbeth looks crazy to everyone at the banquet. I really like this part of the play, because it's very exciting and interesting.
4. I personally didn't like how the background of every act and scene was black. With the black set it was hard to tell where the characters were or if it was day or night time.If i was the director for this play I would have made it so that every scene had a set that fitted the context of the story. Doing this would make the play more exciting and make it seem like a more realistic story.
5.
Macbeth:
I chose Jack Nicholson, because he is a good actor that is able to play serious roles. Also he has something about him that's a little crazy. Macbeth acts both crazy and sane throughout the play.
Lady Macbeth:
I chose Meryl Streep, because she is a very talented and strong actress. She is also younger and much better looking than Judi Dench.
Banquo:
I chose Robert De Niro, because he a great actor. He would be great at playing the role of a i brave and smart man.
Duncan:
I chose Steve Martin, Because since Duncan was a loved and respected king the actor who played this role needed to be a nice guy, liked by everyone.
